We conduct audits and offer consulting services on prevention and compliance with legislation. We also handle concentration or premerger notices to be filed with the Federal Competition Commission; representation on monopolistic practice investigations, both horizontal and vertical; petitions for and follow-up on proceedings under immunity programs; the filing of and follow-up on appeals against the decisions of the Federal Competition Commission; and training for companies and associations on economic competition.

Many of our accomplishments are substantial, such as provisions of the Federal Economic Competition Law being declared unconstitutional (on predatory pricing). We also obtained various interpretations from the Federal Supreme Court on the application of the law.

We also secured multiple approvals for various concentrations, both domestic and international, in highly concentrated markets.

Coca-Cola Bottlers

The firm has represented various Coca-Cola bottlers in proceedings before the competition authority and the Federal Judiciary involving alleged monopolistic practices, receiving favorable decisions.

Pfizer-Wyeth

Approval was obtained from the Federal Competition Commission for the merger of Pfizer and Wyeth, where more than 35 human and animal health markets were analyzed.

Mexichem Transactions

Approval was obtained from the Federal Competition Commission for the acquisition of three companies of CYDSA for the production of PVC resins (Polycid), caustic soda, hypo chloric acid, chlorates and PVC plastic tubing (Plásticos Rex), which allow Mexichem to vertical integrate its operations with large efficiencies. In addition, approval was secured for the co-investment by Mexichem and PEMEX Petroquímica to integrate VCM ethylene.
