We advise our clients, domestically and internationally, to identify mechanisms that permit foreign investment in regulated activities so as to consolidate strategic opportunities.
We have broad experience in obtaining authorizations from the Federal Foreign Investment Commission. Specific authorizations have been secured to participate in restricted sectors (such as energy, telecommunications and finance), many mechanisms have achieved these successes, but some examples include: trusts for neutral investment in Mexico or having foreign companies set up offices in Mexico, the presence of which is justified by tax or regulatory reasons.
We also ensure our clients comply with the Foreign Investment Law and its Regulations in terms of filings, notices, statistical reports and other procedures required by the National Foreign Investment Registry. To this end we have a database and state-of-the-art systems that ensure proper follow-up and control.
